(1923)
Cairo for the Pale Man was a crowded maze, where nothing is where it should be, like some distorted mirror. He was avoiding any encounter with all these humans, as they were landmines that should not be stepped on but finally, he found the man he was looking for!

There are three different ways to decode the black and white blocks.
Morse: HUMOR, LOVES, ALMOST, TALES, NIGHT, BLUE, MUSIC, TREATISE, END, OUR
Braille: UNFINISHED, HOWARDS, MONEY, TENDER, TRUMPET, ACT, ARCH, CHAMBER, TIME, HUSBAND, FOUR, RISK
Binary: NORA, JOHN, MAUD, JOY, MARTHA, ZELDA, LEONARD, HENRY, EDITH, LYDIA, SUSAN
Note that there were some errors.
LOVES decodes as LOVEI
ALMOST decodes as ALMOSE
Morse is decoded by reading left to right and top to bottom. Each white triangle is a dot and a double white triangle is dash. A double black triangle separates letters.
Braille is seen by taking columns of triangles two at a time. Black triangles are the dots.
Binary is done by taking each column and converting white triangles to 0 and black triangles to 1. Then converting to decimal and doing A1Z26, a27z52.
The next step is to combine one word from the Morse list and one word from the Braille list to create a book/screenplay title. Find the author of that title who has a spouse in the Binary list and died at an age found on the numbers list in the puzzle.
