Whitehill Mining experienced an unprecedented tragedy this week, where earthquake cave-ins caused catastrophic damage to the mine site D automated mining systems.
We are proud to announce that the unprecedented event was met with an equally impressive response from Whitehill Mining’s mine site operators and after a week of mandatory overtime, the damaged equipment has been replaced, and mine site D is operational again.
Unfortunately, due to the utilization of older automated equipment, and a required module backup restoration, the site is only operating at 98% efficiency. Mandatory overtime will be enforced until the site once again reaches the required 130% efficiency.
