(Duck’s notes: Due to the archives’ many plot threads, I’ll be highlighting the different plots. Stopping Satan’s schemes will be black, Heelfront will be red, John Doe in orange, Domenech in yellow, Crow’s creations in green, 35’s weird dreams in blue, Miss. Andrews in purple, Hazen in pink,.)
COS01 - 8/1/95: Employee 17 (Sahir Bali) is alerted to the fact that the Open Doors of Saint Alphonsus Rodriguez Catholic Church (Open Doors) has decided to take an interest in demons from the Otherside. It’s led by Satan in disguise, codename Padre Antonio Jesus Santos or Padre for short, who is one of those aforementioned demons. He’s also a Prince of Hell, one of the seven rulers of the Otherside’s Planes.
AAA01 - 8/2/95: Employee 53 (’Shill’ - Alex Galves) is discovered that a random person has a video of a demon doing supernatural stuff. This customer is codenamed ‘Mrs. Heelfront’ and, interestingly enough, this video hasn’t been taken down either by Astoria - the government-funded organisation for demons and the like - or the police.
C-AAA02 - 8/3/95: Heelfront’s un-codenamed identity (a Douen) are supposedly spirits of dead unbaptized children in Caribbean folklore. Supposedly, because baptism probably doesn’t do that much. There’s a chance that the Douen come from either Amaymon or Mayda, two of the Otherside’s Planes. Also, this specific Douen is dead. The video is a recording of a dead Douen. There’s also mention of ‘red eyed children’ who are somehow linked to dying at sea.
CD-TTE01 - 8/4/95: 62 (Salenna Whittaker) receives a message supposedly from the future, in the year 2035. The writer of the message, John Doe, travelled back in time to 1988 to pick up a ‘BaristaTech CADCom 88’ which could decrypt many CADCode ciphers - essential to decode the ‘Cafe Crisis Cipher’ which a receipt from his worldline’s (parallel universe) Last Cafe was encrypted in. After observing events, he detected a ‘pressing anomaly’ and wanted to speak to the Owner. The CaD decided to wait and see what John Doe would do next.
DPG01 - 8/5/95: A new demon, Mr. Domenech, arrives in Violet Crown (Austin, Texas). Since it’s a ‘Mr.’, 26 (Aelan Analu) decides to solo it.
CD-TTE02 - 8/6/95: John Doe returns. It appears that he’s an alternate version of the Owner, and threatens to release the information he has to the public if he doesn’t get a meeting with the Owner.
DPG02 - 8/7/95: 26 arrives in Violet Crown and starts looking for Mr. Domenech.
DPG03 - 8/8/95: 26 spots a group of people from Astoria also hunting down Domenech and decides to blend in. To be more exact, they’re from Quebec Divison and consist of Joliette, Rimouski, and Estire, and possibly Five, Lima’s leader. (are they all named after towns in Quebec or is that just a wrong coincidence? idk)
SKWC01 - 8/9/95: The Owner (Jean) receives 3 regular human customers, three teenagers - two girls and a boy. They asked for black coffee, so the Owner gave them some actual regular coffee. However, their reactions seem to indicate that it was a test. He questions whether Satan or Astrid - leader of Astoria - sent them, but considers it unlikely. Also one of them apparently had eyes linked to the Otherside.
C- COS02 - 8/10/95: 17 manages to discover the identity of one of Satan’s cohorts, Mrs. Pleasant (the Mothman). He possesses hypnotic red eyes which will mainly evoke fear, as well as a desire of self-harm and destruction. Also, he can fly. Very fast. There’s also a mention of some other demons, but nothing much to note (except that Pleasant’s linked to Cold somehow)
COS03 - 8/11/95: One of 17’s contacts shares that Satan has 2 other demons, and altogether there are two from Hauntaurskald and one from ‘Scream’ (Amaymon/Necropolis, apparently? Or the Everdark?). Their names are written in Satan’s other book.
C-WFS01 - 8/12/95: While 71 (Felix Blackwood) was helping the Owner stop the spread of a ‘blight’ (caused by the Wicked Blight, aka the King in Yellow) on his eye, the Owner spotted a tall (6-8 ft) shadow-like entity with white eyes. When staring at it, indecipherable whispers could be heard.
WFS02 - 8/13/95: 71 waited for the Owner to fall asleep. The moment he did, the entity - Mrs. Umbra - appeared. Though the whispers were recorded by a CADCom, it was gibberish.
C-WFS03 - 8/14/95: The whispers apparently were ‘there is no church’. Umbra, aka the Hat Man or the Darkness/Dark, is tied to the ‘Everdark Pits of the Amaymon’ and is working for Satan. The other demon is Mr. Aka, or the Redman. He’s a regular ‘bathroom ghost’, but has been enhanced due to his Terms with Satan. Whatever that means.
DPG04 - 8/15/95: 26 has managed to track down Domenech. However, when trying to return him to hell, he was unable to go. Not unwilling, but unable. With both Astoria and possibly the police closing in, 26 is going to try to send Domenech back once more, and if that fails, will return to the Cafe to get 71’s insight.
C-DPG05 - 8/16/95: It backfired. Somehow, the returning didn’t work and it caused a blackout - strange, since Domenech is from the Infernus, not Morningstar. 26 is trying to return to the Cafe, while also trying to lose the Astoria members.
WFS04 - 8/17/95: 71 and the Owner set a trap for Umbra, who is stuck in a room with all the lights off. They’re planning to interrogate her later.
