Dive Fall (2018-2019, 2113)
- C-A23L01 - 11/5/18: 8 gets a letter from Astrid, the head of Astoria 23rd congratulating them on dealing with the Twice Third Temple. Astrid wants them to retrieve the Grand Grimoire from the Vatican City, though they’d have to deal with the Knights Templar. Apparently, it doesn’t exist on her version of Earth, which is apparently in 2113.
- C-A23L02 - 11/8/18: The O.C. gets in touch with them, mentioning that someone’s already stolen the Grimoire (them) and that they’ve been busy dealing with the Dark. Also, 26/Big Guy’s heading over to send a package to them.
- WTD01 - 11/13/18: Umbra (yes, that Umbra) leaves a message and a Darkworm. It talks about the creation of the Spheres, how Bird created the Light and separated it from the Dark (not the group), and how he created the Sky ruled by the flies (beezebulb?) and the Sea ruled by the Leviathan. Also, the Land is apparently ruled in the East by Bird’s daughter and the west by Bird’s sons. Umbra then continues accusing Bird of creating inequality and talks about allying with the Shadows (the Everdark?) and rewriting fate - or perhaps Fate.
- C-WTD02 - 11/14/18: Umbra leaves another message. The Darkworm has taken over all of the Third Cafe, leaving all of their equipment unusable. He wonders how they’ll deal with him and demands the Grimoire to finish off the Other Cafe. He mentions that Bird’s hidden his ‘prize’ somewhere in another place and time - something about 55 and the Tuskkin Board, presumably a reference to the Tuskkin Worldline. He also taunts them, indirectly mentioning Duplicity.
- DC-DDH01 - 3/6/2113: Scratch (likely 8) leaves a receipt, talking about how Scry (4121, unlikely) got a new lead regarding Dr. Deadhand, aka Thomas Kalin, whose hands can kill anything they touch. Before working for a group called the Bad Guys, he led ‘S.A.D.’, or Scum and Degeneracy. ‘8-Ball’ (potentially 323? unlikely) says that he’s the second-most intelligent of the Bad Guys, behind Successor. Scratch asks Scry and Re:Vamp’about him, but gets nothing. Also, they suspect he’s working with something called the Sevenfold Sect, and he’s working on something in the Eastend District, which according to Luster is Eidolon territory. Scry also seems to have visions.
- DC-DDH02 - 3/13/2113: Rhyme (1313) and Coven head to the Eastend Mall to track down Dr. Deadhand, but run into a Cold Elder called Phantom. It’s controlling a warlock named Edgar Lane, one of Eidolon’s gang. Rhyme says to stay away from Phantom.
- DC-DDH03 - 3/14/2113: Dowser mentions that the Eastend Mall is ‘alive’ and constantly growing, causing Eastend to be split into Eltersin (everything) and Eastend (the mall and some cheap apartments). Dowser suggests working with the Eidolons, but Scry’s against it since they’re rivals to the ‘Good Guys’. Also, after 8-Ball died, one of their main members defected to the Eidolons. Dowser thinks they should do it, since they’re the CaD and ‘can work with whoever we want’, but Scry thinks otherwise.
- DC-DDH04 - 3/17/2113: Warren (Seth Warren/2213) goes to talk to two members of the Eidolons, Phantom Lane and Pixel, after being asked to by Dowser and Scratch. He mentions that Charge and Dovetail (CaD members) can use magic, but that he has other powers. ‘Power powers’, according to him. Anyway, he teleports into Phantom Lane’s apartment, they fight for a bit, Pixel shows up and they all get warped into Phantom Lane’s power, which is a pocket dimension called the Phantom Lane. Warren ends up telling them the truth, then leaves. Phantom seems to be giving Phantom Lane some esoteric orders sometimes, but that’s it. They said they’d look out for Deadhand.
- DC-DDH05 - 3/24/2113: Charge (Vic, or 224) spots Deadhand and tries to tail him, but fails. He asks Dowser to take a look at it since he’s apparently good with maps. (also there’s a bunch of place names i didn’t write, it would get too long)
- DC-DDH06 - 3/27/2113: Cassidy Kid (3311) mentions that they’re apparently an ‘Elder Enthusiast’ who used to work with Astoria 23, being part of Division November. He also suggests to go confront Deadhand with Warren and Charge since Dowser tracked him down. Apparently Charge ‘is pretty nifty with her sigil work’, and Cassidy’s got a gun.
- DC-DDH07 - 3/27/2113: The three of them track down Deadhand. After some dialogue - the most important information being the existence of ‘Bangboozle’, a gun manufacturer, along with the ‘League’. There’s also mention of a ‘Last Cafe’, which Deadhand finds very sceptical is them. Anyway, Warren teleports behind Deadhand, steals his stuff and warps out with the other two. He also says that Deadhand probably knows they’re in the city (?) of Kaysh, and suggests sending Deadhand’s things to Mistvale as soon as possible.
- DC-DDH08 - 3/29/2113: After taking care of Deadhand, they find a strange metal egg. Dovetail (4121) and Re:Vamp (who has technopathy) try to find something. It’s not electronic, but there is a magical symbol of seven swords possibly linked to the Sevenfold Sect. Also, Scry’s been seeing the egg in her visions. They decide what to do with it, trying to figure out who’s good with magic and intelligent. They consider Scry, Phantom Lane and the ‘saint squad’ (who they apparently just come and go). While they search, Dovetail suggests to get rid of it.
- DC-DDH09 - 3/30/2113 (sorry if this seems disjointed, there’s a lot of info to unpack): Scratch seems to have ended up as 46th on the 55’s Most Wanted Board. Scry seems to expect ‘Big Bad’ to make a move soon since the CaD’s gaining fame, and that he’s pretty ‘old-school’. However, dealing with Ringleader, Apeman (zeh??) and Deadhand, Big Bad seems to be getting frustrated. The regular people also seem to think they’re the ‘Last Cafe’, a group that sided with Lucifer during the Great Demon War in this worldline (note: there is a Last Cafe in debt come due but not sure how they’re related). Still, Scratch suspects there’s something bigger here, what with Agent Webber/Duplicity, Astoria 23, the Grimoire, the Sevenfold Sect and Umbra. She also suggests that Tuskkin is very superhero-ish, as well.
